From the Archives “Juvenile League” 2003. Our memory is from the clubs juvenile league from 2003 pictured is 7 times meath senior cross country champion Darragh Rennicks 1st from right.
Pictured is the Bohermeen senior ladies’ team who won the Meath Nacai senior cross country team title in 1975, this was a landmark win as we believe it was the first time any Bohermeen parish senior ladies team won a Meath county senior title in any sport, we stand to be corrected. Pictured L-r Teresa Harrison, Joan Rogers, Bernie Duffy, Patricia Bell.
On the extreme right is the late Mattie McGrath from Oristown Parish a former Sr Catherine’s, Bohermeen & Dunboyne athlete wearing number 86, beside him wearing number 56 is the eventual winner of the first ever Dublin marathon in 1980 Dick Hooper from Raheny. Mattie McGrath went on to finish 15th overall and his finishing time was 2-34.26. He was the first ever Meath athlete home in the very first marathon in 1980.
